Technology plays a key role in society’s future development, and Accenture’s multinational information technology services and consulting are in the middle of the action.

Accenture stocks have been traded publicly for over two decades, joining the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ACN in 2001. Over the years, their performance has fluctuated as the market does, but should you invest today?

History of Accenture Stocks

Macro-trends reveal a fairly stable performance, with the usual fluctuations affecting the market. The all-time high closing price for Accenture stock was on December 29, 2021, measured at 415.42, and the average stock price for the last year was 330.62.

While Accenture’s shares have been dropping slightly recently, investors are not feeling any pressure. Accenture posted its second-quarter earnings in March, and the results surpassed analysts’ expectations.

Current Quotation of Accenture Stocks

On April 14, 2022, ACN stocks closed on the NYSE at 319.47, with a market cap of 211.934 billion.

Yet the slight drop compared to the previous period is not causing investors to break a sweat. The overall consensus offered by experts is to buy stocks during this period, as the future growth is predicted to be notable.

A few weeks prior, ACN stock jumped 4.5% in premarket trading, and revenue growth continues to climb, seen at 19 – 22% in the last revision in December. With revenue rising and operating margins remaining unchanged, what do experts say about buying Accenture stocks?

Future of Accenture Stocks

Serving major industries, such as communications, media, tech, financial services and more, Accenture’s organisational contributions remain relevant.

Markets have largely recovered after the pandemic, which saw a deceleration across all segments except for health and public services. Each quarter, Accenture reveals accelerating revenue growth.

Revenue growth is expected to continue to grow while operating margins remain stable. In addition, Accenture is expected to generate up to $8.5 billion in free cash flow in fiscal 2022, meaning that shareholder returns are looking positive.

When considering an investment in Accenture stocks, make sure to consider its valuation when compared to other tech giants. Ultimately, ACN’s strength outweigh its weaknesses, and suggests stable growth and broad diversification.
